Abstract: Using 1:50 000 high-precision aeromagnetic data, in combination with the regional geologic background, the authors analyze the aeromagnetic anomaly features in Daxinganling region. On the basis of geological, geophysical and geochemical data, as well as the distribution of deposits (ore occurrences) and ore-forming regularity, a group of aeromagnetic anomalies are selected. In the latest high-precision aeromagnetic map, the known iron deposits show distinct anomaly characteristics. With comparative study and comprehensive verification, one magnetite spot and several nonferrous metal occurrences are found. Based on the verification, the prospecting direction by aeromagnetic data in this area is pointed out.
