Abstract:
China's boron ore resources are primarily distributed in Liaoning and Qinghai provinces, among which the sedimentary-metamorphic boron deposits in eastern Liaoning represent a significant mineralization type, accounting for 40% of the country's total proved boron resources. This paper focuses on the exploration technologies for concealed boron deposits in eastern Liaoning, by analyzing key geological problems and physical property characteristics fundamental to such exploration. Through case studies of geophysical exploration technology applied in Wengquangou, Zhuanmiao, and Houxianyu ore concentration areas, the applicability and limitations of magnetic, gravity, and electrical methods in boron exploration are revealed. The study demonstrates that integrated geophysical methods can effectively delineate the occurrence space of concealed ore bodies. The research findings may provide technical support for the breakthroughs in boron ore prospecting in eastern Liaoning region.
