Abstract:
The change rule of element migration in fault structures is one of the main concerns for tectonic geochemical study. The fault structure of Banshigou iron deposit in Baishan City, Jilin Province, is well developed. With survey on the No. 17 ore group from Banshigou iron deposit and typical reverse fault section in Zhaojiagou ore group, collecting tectonite and surrounding rock samples, analyzing major elements and trace elements, the distribution characteristics and migration patterns of elements in reverse fault are reflected by geochemistry section method, isocon analysis and characteristic element ratio. Based on the analysis, it is assumed that the major elements such as SiO
2, Fe
2O
3, CaO and Na
2O are depleted in reverse fault, while Al
2O
3 and K
2O are concentrated, with enriched long ion radius trace elements like Rb and Sr, depleted minor ion radius Co, Cr, Ni. The ratios of characteristic elements K
2O/Na
2O, V/Cr and Rb/(Ni+Co) show high value and SiO
2/Al
2O
3,(Fe
2O
3+CaO+MgO)/Al
2O
3 low value. The tectonic geochemical characteristics above can judge the existence of fault structure, and provide basis for tectonic geochemical study and Banshigou iron deposit prospecting.
