Abstract:
A series of epithermal deposits and mineralized occurrences including gold, silver, copper, lead, and zinc resources were discovered in the Mesozoic volcanic-subvolcanic rocks in Manzhouli area. They can be divided into low sulphidation and high sulphidation types, with typical wall rock altera tion and alteration zonation of epithermal deposit. The deposits are closely related to late Yanshanian shallow to super-shallow intrusives both temporally and spatially.Linear fractures and volcanic structures control the distribut ion and extension of the deposits and ore occurrences. The NE-oriented Ergun-Hulun deep-seated fracture zone is the primary controlling structure of ore and magmatic activities.Based on the analysis of ore-forming environments and characteristics of two typical epithermal deposits,Erentaolegai and Daba, the metallogenic regularity and mineralization model of the epithermal deposits in Manzhouli area are summarized.
