Abstract:
Based on field and indoor study, the author proposed that the Huanggoushan gold deposit be a representative karst one for the first time in 1991. The deposit occurs in the contact zone between dolomite marble of Zhenzhumen formation and schist of Huashan formation, Laoling group, Lower Proterozoic.Orebodies exhibit domal, tubular and funnel shapes. The orebody is composed of karst speleothem, with speleothem structure, brecciform structure and pectinate structure.Meteorological water is proved by H and O isotopic characteristics. S and C isotopes show that metallogenic materials were derived from surrounding rocks. The above mentioned geological features of the deposit suggest that it belong to a representative karst gold deposit. The new cognition proposed in this paper is theoretically and practically significant for ore-searching in the Laoling area.
