ON METALLOGENETIC FACTORS OF ZHILINGTOU GOLD DEPOSIT IN ZHEJIANG PROVINCE

    • Several current genetic models of Zhilingtou gold deposit in Zhejiang province are reviewed. The most important ore controlling structure of the deposit is a composite structure formed in a large ductile shear zone of early Proterozoic amphibolite -facies superimposed ty a Mesozoic bursting extinsion belt. The ore-horming tydrothermal fluids are related to the Yanshanian volcanic activity and magmatism. The ore-horming materials come mainly from the deepseated remelting magma in the lower part of upper crust. Mesozoic volcanic rocks acted as the indispensible screening cover preventing the fugitive metallogenic fluids. The deposit is of a Yanshanian volcanic-magmatic hydrothermal type in back ductile shear zones
