    ORE-CONTROL ACTION OF DUCTILE SHEAR BELT WITHIN SLATE ZONE ON GOLD DEPOSIT ON THE SOUTHERN MARGIN OF YANGTZE PLATFORM

    • Three genetic types of gold deposit are discerned in the shear belt within the slate zone on the southern margin of Yangtze platform as follows; mylonitic, quartz vein and altered rock types. Gold deposit is obviously controlled by the shear belt. Ore bodies depend mainly on the following structures; multi-order structures of first to fouth orders made up of ductile and brittle-ductile shear belts or brittle faults; structural deformation areas, including dilatio areas of the top of arc shear belt and the conjoining areas of shear belts; areas of strong structural strain and their superimposition composed of ultramylonite, mylonite,; and cataclasite; multideformed areas. Dynamic model of gold deposit is established in the slate shear belts. Four stages of gold deposit are discerned as follows:the formation of background rock, movement of ore-forming materials, major dynamic mineralization and the reworking and reconstruction of the deposits.
