ORE-FORMING GEOLOGICAL CONDITIONAND PROSPECTING FOR PLACER GOLD DEPOSIT IN THE WEST OF LIAONING

The ore-forming geological condition for placer gold deposit as follows:materials came from Jianping Group with high content of gold, tectonofracture zone of mineralization and volcanic type of gold deposit (spot); favourable neotectonism, crust differential slowly uplifting and intensively denudation caused auriferous geological body exposing in surface oxidized zone for a long time and underwenting detrition. In the last, the gold could easily removel from auriferous geological body. The climate condition in the area was dry, more wind and less rain. It is hardly to form a large scale of alluvial type of placer gold deposit. The outcropping area of Jianping Group, the both sides of Lingyuan-Beipiao-Fuxin fault zone, the oxidized zone of auriferous polymetallic sulfide ore deposit (spot), the distribution area of original ore deposit (spot) and foreland, intermontane, pluvial fan, the middle-Up reaches or waterhead of the branch valley are the favourable areas for searching residue type, talus type and ravine type of placer gold deposits.
