Abstract
In northern Junggar, there exist all kinds of primary gold deposits, which could be divided into five minerogenetic kinds known as epithermal gold deposits,micro-finegranular dissemination gold deposits, altered rock gold deposits hosted by ductile shear belts, altered rock gold deposits related to some supergene rocks and metamorphic hydrothermal reformed gold deposits.By the means of analysing their minerogenetic characteristics and studying their ore-forming environment,e.g.,tectonic backgrounds, host strata and gold-bearing formations, intrusive rocks, sources of ore, superficial alteration and so on,the authors conclude that these gold deposits are mainly controlled by collision orogenes of Late Paleozoic and their main mineralizing epoch is from Carboniferous to Permain, and found a general mineralization model related to gold deposits in this region.
