Abstract
The Liushugou marine volcanic rock belt in the southern section of Western Tianshan is tectonically located in the southern margin of Saaerming Late Paleozoic island arc belt. The Liushugou fm. volcanic rocks, mainly intermediate and acid with a little basic basalt, are formed in an extension background in Middle Devonian. The copper deposit, strictly limited in the Liushugou volcanic rock belt and genetically related to the volcanic rocks, is barely a pint-sized deposit, and the mineralization is highly dispersive. The Cu orebodies and mineralized bodies are controlled by multilevel fault structures. The characteristics of the volcanic rocks, multilevel fault structures and volcanic structure, as well as their controlling to Cu mineralization, are studied. In combination with analysis on the ore-forming fluid inclusion and stable isotopes, the Cu deposit is considered belonging to marine volcanic type.
