    THE GRAIN SIZE ANALYSIS AND CORRELATION OF SEDIMENTARY ENVIRONMENT AT THE BOTTOM OF YIXIAN FORMATION IN WESTERN LIAONING PROVINCE

    • Grain size analysis and correlation of the sedimentary environment are carried out on Lujiatun bed and Laogonggou bed at the bottom of Yixian formation in the Jinlingshi-Yangshan basin and Fuxin-Yixian basin, Western Liaoning Province. The results not only reveal a sedimentary environment of alluvial-fluvial facies in the early stage of the two basins, but also confirm the comparability between the two beds. Due to the influence of volcanism, there lie differences in the results of the grain size analysis.
