CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WETLANDS IN NORTHEAST CHINA: Mechanism of Formation and Succession

    • The wetlands in Northeast China are in various types under complicated natural conditions. On the basis of summing up the characteristics, the authors analyze the mechanism of formation and succession of the wetlands. It is revealed that the process of the formation and succession is affected by both natural power and human behaviors. The external force from human activities dominates the process in a relative small time and space scale. Improper exploitation will damage the environment for the wetlands.
