    EXTRACTION OF THE MINERALIZATION AND ALTERATION INFORMATION FROM ETM+ REMOTE SENSING IMAGE: The practice in exploration

    • With processing for the remote sensing image of the northern area in Jianping County, Liaoning Province, the mineralization and alteration information of OH- and Fe3+ is extracted. Referring to the geologic and mineral map in a scale of 1:200000 in the area, under the metallogenic theory, with field investigation and correctness of the alteration in formation by GPS, two spots of altering anomaly are finally found. The result of exploration is remarkable. This method provides an effective means for further mineral investigation.
