MECHANISM ANALYSIS AND RISK ASSESSMENT OF THE DANGEROUS ROCK MASS IN THE NORTHERN SLOPE OF CHANGBAI MOUNTAIN

    • The Changbai Mountain area, with intense geological movement, active magmatism and continuously rising crust, is a region where geological hazards occur frequently. By analysis on the dangerous rock mass above the tourist corridor on the northern side of Changbai Mountain, considering the influencing factors and types of collapse, this paper summarizes the deformation mechanism of the collapse and the formation mechanism of quicksand slope. Based on the topography, geomorphology and engineering geology of the rock mass, the dangerous zones are divided, with assessment for the risk of geological hazards, which provides a scientific basis for the treatment of the potential geological hazards.
