Abstract
The typical gold deposits of Maoling, Sidaogou and Wangjiawaizi, occurring in the Paleoproterozoic Liaohe group Gaixian formation (Pt1lhgx) in Southern Liaoning Province, resemble each other in the geology of deposit and the characteristics of gold ore and minerals. They are closely related and affinitive to strata of Gaixian formation in the distribution of REE, sulfur isotope, lead isotope and characters of ore-forming hydrothermal fluid. The intersection of multi-staged faults in Gaixian formation and the 3-10 km wide contact zone between the strata and intrusive rocks are favorable areas for gold mineralization.
