CHARACTERISTICS AND DISTRIBUTION OF THE NATURAL HEAVY MINERALS IN LIAONING PROVINCE

The characteristics and distribution of reginal natural heavy minerals in Liaoning Province are under the control of geological, geographical and mineralogical factors. The natural heavy minerals are distributed in belts, controlled by large structures, ore-hosting strata and tectonomagmatic belts. Different heavy minerals have their distinguishable characters of zonation. The characteristics of distribution, zonation and assemblages of the heavy minerals of gold, copper, lead, tourmaline and others are discussed.
