Abstract
The Sharenga lead-zinc deposit in Sokshan, Tibet is hosted in the shale, sandstone and marl of Upper Triassic Duogaila formation. The four mineralized belts occur in lenticular, veined and stratoid shapes, controlled by near east-west and NNW-trending faults. The ore contains Zn, Pb and Ag, mainly in stockwork and massive structures. Based on the analysis of geology in the orefield, features of orebodies and ore, it is believed that the deposit is controlled by the strata and structures, with good ore-searching prospect.
