Abstract
Four ore fields of the Laiwu contact metasomatic-hydrothermal iron deposit are studied on the ore-controlling conditions (wall rock and structures) and ore-forming factors (magmatic intrusion and migmatite). The geological environment of each ore field is analyzed and compared. On this basis, the metallogenic factors of the ore fields are quantized by the standard (score 100) of Kuangshan ore field, the largest of the four. The result shows that the Laiwu iron deposit is formed by multi-factors, which involve stratabound wallrocks, structures, magmatic invasion and intrusive bodies. The characteristics of the multi-factor metallogenesis are significant for the prospecting of ore.
