FIFTY YEARS OF THE SHENYANG INSTITUTE OF GEOLOGY AND MINERAL RESOURCES: History and academic achievements

The year 2012 will see the 50th anniversary of the founding of Shenyang Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources. Through a brief historical review, the author provides the readers with a clear course of growth and development for a regional geological research institution. Based on the analysis of developing trend, the author suggests that, to realize its high-quality and rapid development, the Institute should construct a first-class team to play an important role in the practice of national strategy and service to the economic and social sustainable development.
