ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ASSESSMENT OF SOIL HEAVY METALS IN THE SHENYANG-FUSHUN SEWAGE IRRIGATION AREA, LIAONING PROVINCE

    • The Shenyang-Fushun area had been irrigated by industrial and life sewage since 1960s until 2000. The soil pollution is serious for the long-term of sewage irrigation. The contents of heavy metal elements of Zn, Cu, Pb and Cd in the soil of the irrigation area are analyzed to probe their geochemical characteristics and spatial distribution. The results show that, Cu and Zn have the widest range of pollution, while Cd has the highest pollution level. Generally, the pollution degree of the four elements is in the order: Cu > Zn > Cd > Pb. The extent of pollution caused by these elements in space is as follows:Lishizhai(S07) > Sanbaotun(S01) > Liuertun(S05) > Sifangtai(S08) > Xiaowacuny(S15).
