Abstract
The Northeast China block group is composed of mainly Erguna, Xinghua, Songnen, Jiamusi and Khanka blocks. All of them have their own independent evolutionary history, but are not separated from the Siberia craton. The Erguna and Xinghua blocks joined the Palaeo-Asia Ocean arc-basin system in the southeastern continental margin of Siberia plate, to construct a part of island-arc, mountain-arc or back-arc basin. The Songnen, Jiamusi and Khanka blocks are close to Siberia plate and North China plate respectively, in the Panthalassic Ocean and Palaeo-Pacific Ocean affected area, showing complicated Pre-Cretaceous evolutionary history. Based on the detailed discussion about tectonic evolution of Northeast China block group, it is concluded that besides the Siberia and North China plates, there also should be the Songnen-Jiamusi united block in marginal-Pacific Ocean domain, the Khanka and Jiaoliao blocks and the Nadanhada terrain in circum-Pacific Ocean domain.
