Abstract
Through the integrative geophysical profiling survey on the Meso-Cenozoic basins in the periphery of Songliao Basin, the extent to west, basement relief and burial depth of Balinzuo Basin are determined. The thickness variation of different electric layers is recognized. The fault structures are inferred. The study confirms that the application of non-seismic comprehensive geophysical methods in the investigation of structures and distribution of prospective sedimentary basins are feasible. The integration of gravity, high resolution magnetic and electromagnetic methods is rather efficient in the geological survey for oil and gas.
