Abstract
The Galinge orefield, containing iron with polymetallic deposits of copper, cobalt, lead and zinc, is covered by Quaternary overburden about 200 m thick. The most direct and effective exploration methods are ground high-precision magnetic survey and three-component magnetic logging. The combination of ground magnetic survey and three-component data processing and analysis is applied to guide the layout of geological drilling and find blind orebody, which has achieved good results. Particularly, the three-component magnetic survey is more effective than the ground method in some way. The three-component borehole has been one of the essential methods to find magnetite ore and magnetic associated polymetallic deposits.
