METALLOGENIC CHARACTERISTICS AND PROSPECTING ORIENTATION OF THE AGATE DEPOSITS IN WESTERN LIAONING, CHINA

The agate deposits in Western Liaoning area, developed in the intermediate-basic volcanic formation in the Late Mesozoic fault basin, mainly occur in the pores and fissures of volcanic rocks, controlled by the lithology of wallrocks. According to comprehensive study, the key prospecting target is the Yixianian intermediate-basic volcanic rocks with pores and fissures.
