ORE-CONTROLLING FACTORS AND PROSPECT OF THE DENGGUANGXU-TAIPING BAUXITE DEPOSIT IN GUANGXI REGION

    • The Dengguangxu-Taiping bauxite deposit, occurring in the Quaternary residual talus laterite, is characterized by shallow buries, large scale and broad distribution. The ore deposit is controlled by the resource bed, lithology, structure, landform and climate. With comparison to the regional deposits, it is believed that the genetic type of this deposit is of accumulated gibbsite deposit. Analysis of the ore-controlling factors on the basis of geological background proves that, with advantageous geological conditions and good exploration prospect, this area is favorable for medium and large sized bauxite deposits.
