METALLOGENIC REGULARITIES OF THE PALEOZOIC CONTINENTAL VOLCANIC-SUBVOLCANIC GOLD DEPOSITS IN XINJIANG

    • The Paleozoic continental volcanic rock-type of gold deposits in Xinjiang presents in three styles as follows. The Axi style, located in the west section of Boluokenu in Western Tianshan, was formed in Late Devonian. The Shiyingtan style, distributed in the Jueluotage belt, Eastern Tianshan, was formed in Early Permian. The Mazhuangshan style in the northern margin of the Tarim block was formed in Late Carboniferous. Analysis on the ore-forming conditions, metallogenic process and genesis shows that the mineralization ages are almost the same to, or a little later than, those of the ore-bearing formations. The deposits are assigned to continental volcanic-subvolcanic para-syngenetic Au-Ag metallogenic series.
