EXPLORATION PROSPECTS AND METALLOGENIC PREDICTION OF DIAMOND IN NORTH CHINA PLATFORM

    • The North China platform is the most important metallogenic province for diamond in China. Primary diamond deposits of kimberlite type with economic value were discovered in Shandong and Liaoning, and diamond ore occurrences and significant prospecting information were also found in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan, Hebei, Shanxi and Jilin. Based on the metallogenic regularity, as well as the comprehensive information results of geophysical, geochemical and heavy mineral prospecting research for the primary diamond deposit in North China platform, four metallogenic prospective areas are identified in the metallogenic province of primary diamond deposit in Tanlu fault zone, Taihang Mountains fault zone and the northern margin of North China platform.
