Abstract
The Dongwujiazi gold deposit and Paishanlou gold deposit in Western Liaoning Province are distributed closely. Both tectonically belong to the eastern section of the north margin of North China Block, occurring in the Neoarchean metamorphic supracrustal rock and plutonic rock series. However, the two deposits have significant differences in metallogenic mechanism, epoch and characteristics. After comparing the characteristics of the two deposits, we believe that the different local tectonic environment evolutions resulted in the diversity of mineralization. Meanwhile, the theory of "wave transmission" can well explain the phenomenon of concentrated distribution pattern of quartz-vein type gold deposits in Baoguolao Uplift of Inner Mongolia Axis versus sparse distribution pattern of ductile shear zone altered rock type gold deposits in Beizhen Uplift of Yanshanian Fold Belt. Finally, the Jiumiao Uplift, which shares similar local tectonic environment to Baoguolao Uplift, has few gold deposits but obvious geochemical Au anomaly. Therefore it is possible to find gold deposits of "Dongwujiazi style" in this area.
