Abstract
The Lingyuan-Fuxin metallogenic belt is a significantly important gold metallogenic zone in Liaoning Province, outcropped with various formations, among which the Xiaotazigou Formation of Jianping Group has the closest relation with gold deposit. Tectonic movements developed from Archean to Mesozoic Eras with large-scale structural activities, which controlled the magmatic invasion and the formation and distribution of gold deposits. There are two types of gold deposits in the area, i.e. auriferous quartz vein type and subvolcanic hydrothermal type. Based on analysis of regional geological background and typical deposit characteristics, the author summarizes the ore prospecting indicators of host strata of gold, structural controls of deposits and the spatiotemporal relation between intrusive rocks and gold deposits.
