    APPLICATION OF MULTI-PARAMETER IP SOUNDING IN THE EXPLORATION IN JINGXIN BASIN

    • In traditional geophysical exploration, resistivity is commonly used as main parameter to detect and divide deep strata. In this case study, the parameters of half decay time, decay degree, deviation degree, composite parameter and water indicator are adopted to detect the water content and then the sand content in strata, which would be the basis for stratum division. The practice also confirms that the low power and short period of power supply are the main reasons for the poor effect and less obvious anomaly in most IP sounding survey. It is necessary to increase the power and period of power supply. This practice obtains an ideal result and acquires the new cognition that the Jingxin Basin is of a fault basin.
