Abstract
Wetland serves as an important "carbon sink" in nature, and its carbon stock variation has significant influence on global climate change and greenhouse effect. Selecting the geographically unique Xingkai Lake Nature Reserve in Heilongjiang Province as the study area and collecting the surface soil samples (0-20 cm) in terms of soil types, the research uses remote sensing-interpreted land use map, calculation formula of soil carbon storage and plant carbon sequestration to count the total carbon sequestration amount of ecosystem service in the reserve. Besides, the carbon sequestration service value is estimated to be RMB 490 million by referring to Sweden's carbon tax approach and China's afforestation cost approach. The results show the carbon sequestration service function of wetland is above the national average and that of Momoge wetland on the same latitude in Northeast China Plain, which provides effective reference for protection and management of the study area in the future.
