Abstract
The Ailin iron deposit, with a single orebody in the orefield, is a small-scale mine. The orebody of magnetite quartzite type occurs in the xenolith of Anshan Group, belonging to strata-bound deposit. The ore-controlling structure is Ailin-Fengmigou anticlinoria, with the orebody developed in the south wing. Due to the lack of large-scale ore-hosting structure, the orefield does not have the structural conditions for large and rich ores. The regional metamorphism and migmatization are directly related to the formation of deposit, and particularly the migmatization in Luliang period plays a positive role in the enrichment and recrystallization of iron ore. The genesis of deposit is typical sedimentary metamorphism, that is, Anshan-type iron deposit.
