Abstract
The Yanshanian-Himalayan tectonic movement causes the violent collision between Indian Plate and Eurasian plate, the eastward subduction of Pacific Plate and westward drift of American Continent, and results in the "thickening swirl upwelling" effect, that means, the thickening lower crust inserts deeply to the upper mantle asthenosphere to change the movement mode of asthenosphere and cause upwelling, accompanied by intense magmatism and upwelling ore-forming materials, then the large-scale mineralization is completed with world-class super-large porphyry copper series occurred in the Tethys-Himalayan region and the eastern margin of Pacific Ocean. The mineralization in the eastern margin of Pacific Ocean is significantly more than that in the Tethys-Himalayan region. The reason is preliminarily discussed in this paper.
