Abstract
The idea of"oil-uranium co-exploration" has promoted the geological survey, target selection and drilling verification of sandstone-type uranium deposits in central-southern Songliao Basin. The natural gamma values of 250 and 450 API are chosen as the key technical indexes to classify potential uranium boreholes, mineralization boreholes and normal boreholes for anomaly screening on 1572 boreholes in southern Central Depression, in which 362 potential uranium boreholes and 223 potential uranium mineralization boreholes are found. One industrial and one anomaly boreholes are identified by drilling verification. It is thought that the fluvial sandbodies of Sifangtai Formation in the edge of uplift formed by tectonic inversion in oilfields are the favorable areas for sandstone-type uranium deposit prospecting. At the end, six main ore-controlling factors of southern Central Depression are summarized.
