Abstract
The organic geochemical analysis and evaluation on abundance, types and maturity of organic matters in potential source rocks of Labudalin Basin are conducted on the basis of geological exploration, typical profile survey, sampling and experiment. The results show that the TOC and hydrocarbon potential of Upper Carboniferous Xinyigenhe Formation are both low, with I-type organic matter generally reaching the high-mature to post-mature stage, ranked as poor source rock. The TOC of Middle Jurassic Wanbao Formation is medium, with low hydrocarbon potential, I-and II1-type organic matter in low-mature stage, belonging to poor to medium grading. The TOC of Upper Jurassic Manketouebo Formation is medium, with good hydrocarbon potential, II1-type organic matter in low-mature stage, belonging to fair grading. The TOC of Lower Cretaceous Damoguaihe Formation is high, with good hydrocarbon potential, II1-and II2-type organic matter in low-mature to mature stage, belonging to good grading.
