    NEW FOSSIL MATERIALS OF LATE PERMIAN PLANTS FROM LINXI FORMATION IN AR HORQIN QI, INNER MONGOLIA

    • A few species of plant fossils were collected from the Upper Permian Linxi Formation in Kundu area, Ar Horqin Qi, Inner Mongolia, including Pecopteris (Asterotheca?) cyatheca (Schloch.) and Pecopteris unita Brongniart of the Monilophytes, Peltaspermum buevichae Gomankov et Meyen of Pteridosperm, which add new materials to the fossil plantation of the Linxi Formation. Particularly, the Peltaspermum buevichae Gomankov et Meyen were found in Northeast China and Inner Mongolia for the first time. The discovery of these fossils indicates that the age of the strata belongs to Late Permain.
