Abstract
The Kebule Fe-Cu deposit in Alxa Zuoqi, Inner Mongolia, occurs in the external contact zone of the Carboniferous quartz diorite and the second member of Zenglongchang Formation, Zhartaishan Group. The deposit belongs to skarn type, with orebodies hosted in the skarn and surrounding rocks outside the contact zone. The occurrence of the orebodies is consistent with that of the contact zone. The Carboniferous quartz diorite provides the formation of the orebody with heat and materials. In addition, the northeast-trending fractures serve as the pathway for the quartz diorite intrusion and ore-forming fluid. Based on the analysis of the metallogenic geological characteristics, the authors summarize the comprehensive prospecting indicators.
