    RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE HEMATITIZATION AND URANIUM MINERALIZATION IN HUANGGOU URANIUM DEPOSIT, EASTERN LIAONING PROVINCE

    • The paragenesis of hematitization and uranium mineralization is discovered in the exploration of Huanggou uranium deposit in Liaoning Province. Based on the hand specimen observation and SEM chemical analysis, it is believed that the hematitization belongs to metallogenic alteration, which is presented in brick red and dark brown colors. In the brick red-colored hematitization, biotite rock is incompletely altered into chlorite and would provide certain indication for uranium deposit. While in the dark brown alteration, almost all the biotite is replaced with chlorite, which can be taken as a significant prospecting indicator.
