DISCUSSION ON THE NEW ROUND OF EXPLORATION FOR NONFERROUS METALLIC MINERAL RESOURCES IN LIAONING PROVINCE

A new round of geological exploration is necessarily urgent for the nonferrous metallic mines in Liaoning Province. The discovery of the Lanjiagou super large Mo deposit, the Gaojiapuzi large Ag-polymetal deposit and the Wujiatun Pb-Zn deposit shows a great potential of resources and prospecting for nonferrous metallic mines, and also sets an example for the new round of geological exploration. In the new exploration, the geological institutions and the mines should cooperate closely with their own advantages, and develop the cumulated previous data at the same time. Under the guidance of modern metallogenic theories, attention should be paid to the study on the metallogenic laws of ore fields to predict and analyses resources potential.By the new prospecting idea and technology, to break through the new ore forming sections, new types of deposits and new kinds of ore, and to realize the target of the new round of geological exploration.
