Abstract
Adakites are well developed in Northern China. Based on their forming environments, the adakites can be classified into three types, i.e. 1) those formed in Early Paleozoic island arc, 2) those formed in middle-late Mesozoic continental volcanic arc and 3) those formed in middle Late Paleozoic and middle Mesozoic mid-plate. Some well known hydrothermal deposits in the region are closely related to the adakites in accordance with their environmental types. The hydrothermal deposits related to the first type of adakite are genetically porphyry type, with a Cu-Au metallogenic series. The porphyry and epithermal types of deposits are related to the second type of adakite, in aAu-Cu-Mo metallogenic series. And the third type of adakite has a relationship with the deposits of porphyry, skarn and epithermal types, in a metallogenic series of Au-Cu-Pb-Zn.
